Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Stay Ready Rentals. By renting our garments from Stay Ready Rentals, you agree and consent to these terms and conditions. This applies to all rental items booked through the Stay Ready Rentals sites, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook and Website.

The contract between the renter and Stay Ready Rentals commences when the payment is received by Stay Ready Rentals for the rental. Stay Ready Rentals has the right to refuse service to anyone at any point without explanation. The rental period is the period of time that has been allocated for the hire of the garment. 

 

 

Rental Agreement

When you hire with Stay Ready Rentals, you agree to hire our garments for a set period of time, as set out in our terms and conditions. Only you, the renter is able to wear your hired garment and therefore, it is not to be shared around while in your possession. You solely hold the responsibility for the garment during your rental period. If any damage and/or claims are made against you as a result of occurrences that happened when the garment was in your possession, regardless of whether they were your own doing or not, you will be held accountable.

The rental is for the period of time that has been agreed upon by Stay Ready Rentals and the renter at the time of the payment, unless agreed otherwise. Stay Ready Rentals is the legal owner of all the garments set out in our collection, therefore, all rentals must be returned the following working day, unless agreed otherwise. Stay Ready Rentals also reserves the right to retrieve the item at any time.

All prices listed on our site are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and will not be hired outside of New Zealand. 

If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or legal guardian must agree to this contract. This states in summary, that we will hold you accountable to uphold the rental agreement.

We do not hold items prior to payment being received. 

 

 

Wear

Please be extra cautious when wearing our garments and treat them as your own. Please do not wear the garment with freshly applied fake tan, as this can leave permanent stains which you will be liable for.

Please remember we are a dress hire company and a lot of our dresses are worn on a weekly basis, therefore, items should not be expected to be in brand new condition. We do however acknowledge that our dresses must be in a wearable condition with minimal damage and staining. 

Please do not attempt to wash or dry clean the garment yourself as some of our items are delicate and require special dry cleaning/hand washing. Once we receive the garment back, we will look over the dress and determine the cost of cleaning, if any. Light staining that is able to be removed Stay Ready Rentals will not be subject for any additional fees. For items that are returned with significant marks/staining that are not able to be removed by us personally, will be subject to extra dry cleaning charges. Upon dry cleaning, you will be sent the receipt and an invoice to pay within 24 hours. Failure to comply with payments may result in legal action.

Please note, any silk or delicate garments may be subject to heavier cleaning fees. 

 

 

Damage

If damage (stains, rips, etc) is observed when your garment arrives, please take photos of this and let us know right away. If you don't do this and there was no known damage prior to delivery, it may be assumed that the damage was caused by you.

If you damage a rental item, do not attempt to repair it. If it can be easily repaired (e.g. sewing on a button, re-stitching) it will be taken care of with no additional cost to you. It's also not a problem if the garment is stained, as long as it comes out when it is dry-cleaned after you've returned the garment.

If an item is damaged and is not covered by minor repairs as mentioned above, or insurance, you will be liable for the cost of restoring or replacing the garment. In the case the garment cannot be restored to a suitable condition, the fee charged may be up to, but not more than, 120% of the original RRP of the garment. This fee will be on top of any amount already paid for rental or postage, and the item will still need to be returned to the owner Stay Ready Rentals regardless of the amount of damage.

If a perfect fix cannot be made but the Item is received in reasonable condition to continue to Hire you will be asked to pay a portion of the Recommended Retail Price as compensation for damage.

Do not cut, alter or hem tape any item booked via Stay Ready Rentals. 

If you receive any charges above, you will have 30 days to pay unless otherwise agreed with Stay Ready Rentals. 

You agree that, for insurance purposes, Stay Ready Rentals will keep a copy of your credit card details on file for the duration of the Hire period. If any outstanding amounts owed are not paid when due, then Stay Ready Rentals reserves the right to take all steps necessary to collect amounts due from you, including but not limited to; legal action and/or using third party collection agencies. You also agree to pay Stay Ready Rentals costs of collection (including but not limited to internal administration, legal cost, fees, and bank fees)

 

 

Unpaid Fees and Theft

If you've lost or not returned an item, you will be liable for up to 200% of the RRP of the item and/or result in legal action. You will also be blacklisted from placing future orders.

The items available for rent on our website are often sold out in all retail stores and no longer available from the designer. This has led to some people renting an item and not returning it, or saying it is lost, so that they are able to obtain something they want to keep. This, along with loss of earnings from potential future rentals, is why there is a fee of up to 200% of RRP for lost and unreturned items.

Stay Ready Rentals reserves the right to request proof of identity for orders it deems high value (to prevent the potential use of fraudulent credit cards or other payment types). Orders containing three or more dresses may potentially be subject to this request. If Stay Ready Rentals cannot confirm the authenticity of the request, the order may be cancelled at Stay Ready Rentals discretion based on internal verification methods. Stay Ready Rentals agrees to notify the customer via email regarding a rejected rental request.

 

 

Late Return

If for any reason you post back the rental item(s) on a day after the “Return On” specified, late fees may apply. We will often allow a grace period of 1-2 days for this, but only if it doesn't affect a future booking for another customer. If it does affect this, late fees will almost certainly be enforced.

The fee charged for each day late will be your rental price divided by the number of days you've rented for, up to 120% of the original RRP of the item. For example, if you selected a 4-day hire and the rental fee was $100, late fees would be charged at $25 for each day late.

By accepting this agreement, you give permission for Stay Ready Rentals to charge late fees to the payment method you used when placing your order. You will be given the option of using an alternative payment method before the charge is made.

 

 

Postal Rentals

Postal rentals must be made by Wednesday 12pm each week for weekend arrivals. Late bookings placed after Wednesday 12pm will not receive a product refund or shipping refund if the garment does not arrive on time.

Rentals must be returned by 5pm the next working day. If you fail to return your garment by the following working day then you will incur a late fee (as mentioned above) per each day it is not returned. If sending back your garment later than 5pm the following working day affects any future bookings of the garment you will also be liable to fulfil these payments, as this impacts both the next customer and the nature of our business.

We use overnight tracked postage New Zealand wide and ship as early as we can, aiming for you to receive your garment 1-3 days prior to your selected date. You will receive a tracking number via email when your item has been packaged by us. Please monitor your tracking number carefully via the NZ Post website, and should any shipping delays occur, contact NZ Post urgently. When contacting NZ Post, we advise that sometimes depot pick ups can be arranged if the item has reached your local depot however, this is at your responsibility. Please understand we are not liable for any communications held between the renter and NZ Post however, we do endeavour to assist where we can, should you need any further information from our end.

Please understand, that once the item has entered the NZ Post network, Stay Ready Rentals is no longer responsible for any shipping delays that may occur.

We, Stay Ready Rentals are not responsible for any delays in shipping, attempted deliveries, misdirects or postal faults caused by NZ Post. It is your responsibility to be available for delivery of your garment or collection of your item/s at the post office. Stay Ready Rentals takes no responsibility for lost or stolen items. Please understand that when renting with Stay Ready Rentals, there is always an associated risk, particularly when you are choosing for us to ship the item via NZ Post as a separate contractor that your item may not arrive by your selected date. We do not offer refunds in the event that your item does not arrive by your selected date however, we will compensate this by issuing you a store credit to the product amount, minus shipping costs. 

If you happen to lose the return bag, you must contact us immediately to arrange an alternative option. You are liable to pay for any extra postage costs as a result of this.

 

 

Rental Try-ons

We offer try-ons where the physical address is supplied upon request and only available by appointment. If you wish to try-on any of the garments please email orders@stayreadyrentals.co.nz and we will endeavour to book a suitable time. If any damage occurs while trying on garments you may be liable for costs to repair or replace garment.

 

 

Pick Up and Drop Off

You are able to select the alternative method of pick up and drop off in Auckland This feature will be available at check out and is free of charge. You are required to drop back the garment on the following day by 5pm after your selected date. Failure to do so will result in a fee (stipulated above) per day. Stay Ready Rentals is not responsible for any lost or stolen goods. You will be liable for the full RRP if the garment is lost, stolen or not returned. 

We are not responsible for when an item has incorrectly been selected as pick up instead of shipping. We do not provide product or shipping refunds if this is to occur. Please ensure you carefully read the shipping information at checkout and if you are in doubt, get in contact with us.

 

 

Cancellation Policy

If you would like to cancel your order to receive a full refund, you must email us (orders@stayreadyrentals.co.nz) within 12 hours of placing your order.

If 12 hours have passed since your purchase, unfortunately we will not issue a cash refund. 

  • OR if your order has already been shipped within 12 hours of your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange
  • OR if you have collected your item and decide you no longer wish to rent it, we cannot you offer a refund or exchange

If your order is for a future date and we have not sent it off yet, and you would like to cancel your order, please email us on orders@stayreadyrentals.co.nz and we will send you a store credit of the value you paid. 

All store credits will not expire.


 

COVID-19 Information 

Any orders that are affected by COVID-19 will be given a full store credit, excluding any shipping costs that have been paid. These store credits can be used to re-book any garment and will not expire. If you have any further queries regarding this topic, please don't hesitate to get in contact.
